Nitu Ghanghas Career
Nitu Ghanghas started her career as a boxer. It participated in the regional boxing championships in the year 2012. It won its first gold model at the AIBA Youth Women’s World Boxing Championships 2017 from Guwahati. In 2018, he defeated boxer Nillada Meekoon of Thailand in the Asian Youth Boxing Championship and won his second gold medal.
After this, due to an injury in his shoulder, he was away from boxing for two years. In 2022, he participated in the 73rd Strandja Memorial Boxing Tournament, defeating Italian boxer Prisciandaro 5-0 and winning another gold medal.
In 2022, she qualified for the Commonwealth Games by defeating Indian boxer Mary Kom.
On March 2023, Nitu Ghanghas defeated Mongolia’s Lutsaikhan Altansetseg and won the clinched gold in the Women’s World Boxing Championships in Delhi.
